Well, the doctor at Mercy was wrong. I started having stomach pains the Wednesday we got back from our KC spring break trip. I went to the ER on Thursday morning around 6am. The CT scan showed my appendix was inflamed. It had not ruptured, so it wasn't an emergency. They admitted me and I finally met with Dr. Smith at 11pm. He couldn't believe they hadn't removed it in the fall. They put me on the schedule for surgery the next day. I finally went into surgery around 4pm on Friday. Then back home on Saturday. I took about a week off of work so I got an extended Spring Break.
