Amy and I decided to be suckers and spend the $45 for the carriage ride through downtown. It was money well spent. I don't think I've ever seen Maura smile so big and for so long.
She waved through most of the ride and was definitely feeling like a princess.
The boys even seemed to enjoy the ride :)
We got a little history of the town on our ride. However, the only thing I remember her telling us was something about a battle where all the people in the town showed up to this spot, put out their blankets to watch the gun battle, got drunk and then continued to drink after the battle after they lost. Good old southern history.
