We had our winter LCIA meeting in mid-January. I have never seen the Mississippi like this before. The barges were literally stuck in the ice along the river. There were spots that it looked like you could walk from Missouri to Illinois over the ice. It was incredible ~ perfect for eagle watching and just admiring the beauty of the frozen river.
